Loved my breakfast

Real nice place to.get good food. Waitresses are polite. Prices are reasonable. Would recommend it for great eating. They can accomadate groups as well as one or more.

Can't go wrong with breakfast of any type. Lunch either, for that matter. I've been going here since they opened, and never been disappointed. When I worked locally, they would actually customize sandwiches for me that weren't on the menu. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Be prepared to wait on weekends, but it's worth the wait.

Came here, like most places I go, based on the other google reviews. Food was great, I could hardly finish my plate. The server was friendly and our drinks never got low. The spuds (homefries) were also very good, could use a little more seasoning. Worth a stop if you're in the Vernon area.

Great food, good wait staff, and a short wait to be seated. This place is always crowded. If that's not an indicator of a good restaurant, I dont know what is.

This place has that quality home cooked feeling about it. No crazy frills to this place but its consistently well cooked and quality is on point. A favorite local spot for Breakfast and Lunch!

Started out with what felt like a confusing "line" to be seated. Once seated service was a little hasty but ok. Sadly, the food was disappointing. The eggs were over cooked and the potatoes were bland and unseasoned. I ordered eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce had an odd unseasoned flavor. Others I visited with also complained about the lack of seasoning. Sadly I dont intend to return.

Great food and service. The dinners are surprisingly good for what you would expect for a family restaurant of its size. Prices are good. Just be aware of their hours. They close early on the weekend and aren't open on some days of the week.

Best breakfast in Vernon. Pancakes are better than Vernon Diner. Staff very friendly, hands-on owner. Does get very busy on weekends be prepared to wait for parties of 2+. Tip: find a seat at the counter if enjoying your own company, you’ll be impressed with the team of cooks they have pumping out food on any given day.

I love their breakfast! It's a little bit pricey, but their omelette is excellent. This is one of my favorite dinners around. The service is always good and the facility is well kept. If you're looking for a delicious breakfast, this is the place to go!

I'm a door dasher and iv been to this restaurant several times and it's pretty evident that they don't like dashers. I should be considered a customer I got in there and tell them I'm ordering and door dash and they snatch my phone out of my hand to finish the order. meanwhile as I wait for the next 15 min no one says a word to me. no one asks if I want any coffee on this cold icy day or if I want any food. I'm totally willing to pay to but it's a shame how i was ignored. will never go there for personal experience ever.

My favorite breakfast spot in town. The staff is always friendly, and i really enjoy the food. Easy to get to being right off the highway. Much prefer this small town feel over the overpriced Rein's Deli.

Overall the whole experience was disappointing. Fruit was obviously from a package when I asked if it was fresh, when I received my fruit it was all mushy. Apple juice had a horrible weird taste to it, there water tastes like it’s from the tap because it is. Food was subpar and that’s Being generous. Definitely will not be returning

It is set aside in a quiet residential area and great place for those snow days and summer mornings. Get the "hungry man breakfast!" Yes my favorite. Coffee is always on point....not like other expensive (ABP) places that give one old expensive coffee that has been made using an old stocking in back because that's what it tastes like, either criminally watered down or excessively burned-bitter.....not at Vernon Mitchell!! Coffee can actually be drunk black! Also staff is eye candy! Ah, you be the judge! 😘

Me and my wife had an open-face turkey sandwich. We have had this in the past and it was good. Our meal recently had so much salt on the potatoes and the chicken it was not edible. They provided replacement meals which helped.

I find their omelettes were a little dry and browned, and I don't like their canned potato home fries. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

My sister's frequent the Mitchell's restaurant in Rocky Hill and never stop talking about. After I moved to Vernon I knew I had to give it a try. And I have to say, they were onto something. The food was delicious, my coffee was never empty and the price ain't bad.

Friendly staff. Breakfast served all day. Attentive service. Excellent food.This is a great town restaurant that has a family feel. My dad is a regular and I loved seeing him greeted warmly by staff and the other regular customers.

The food was really good and some of it was original seeming- like pesto as an omelette ingredient. The servers were really nice... but absolutely slower than molasses. If you have all day, it's worth trying the food. The seat yourself policy opens the door to a chaotic structure and disconnection between the servers and their tables. The staff all seem a little scattered when it comes to their to do lists (I say this as someone who has waited tables and tended bar in the past)
